Banning, CA: Bobcat in my Back Yard

Look who I spotted in my back yard this morning. He was eyeing my cat through the screen and glass of the back door. I walked up to within 30 feet of him, his eyes moving from me to the door and back again, before he turned and jumped over the fence. I figure he’s plenty hungry, what with all the rain we’ve had, his usual fare of small birds, rabbits and squirrels likely have been hunkered down or otherwise in short supply.
